AIR-Licensed?!?

From Anime on DVD:

ADV Films Licenses Air (04:01 PM EST): According to a new press release sent out today, ADV Films has acquired the AIR TV series with plans to release the first volume in August. They have also acquired the movie. The announcement was made at Anime Matsuri today and the first episode premiered at Kawaiicon.

And then There was another KyoAni series Licensed. Two remain-Lucky Star and Kanon.

Anime to watch:

Moon Phase 5- Kohei turns into a good guy…..however he learns something that might tear him and Hazuki apart……Considering that We got one more disc left, they’ll get back together…….;p

Peach Girl- Why shoujo anime? Two reasons- Sae(Uber-witch) that is fun to watch her rile everyone up, and Momo is voiced in the English dub by Kate Oxley. (Her second major role after playing Makie in Negima.) That alone is enough for purchase….

Cutie Honey Movie- Uber Camp.  Hideaki Anno. Eriko Sato. Nuff said.

ZOMG! It’s Pokemon……

…..and I am not playing the games. Why??

I, sir, am one of the people you are trying to cater to. You fail at that aspect. I’d rather buy a 4kids anime on dvd than go after your one ep. high priced monstrosities. I’ll even import the R2s, if needed, to prove a point. BVUSA will NOT be getting any of my money.

ADV, Bandai Entertainment, Funi, and Geneon, keep up the good work. You’ll be getting my money, as usual.

Stupid Anime Companies III- And the PWNing of one….

From ANN-

An interview at animeOnline with Funimation brand manager Lance Heiskell reveals that Funimation has acquired the broadcast and DVD rights to One Piece; an uncut, subtitled version of the show will be available, as well as a newly dubbed version for television broadcast. Funimation’s version of the show will begin with episode 144. Further details are available in the interview.

Which means- Uncut One Piece and a Dub that doesn’t suck = Win. Hack and slashed anime  + Atrocious dub= dud for 4kids, as they have already proven.

Ridley Silverlake- Typical Tsundere Character, which means win in my book.

2.Kairi

Kairi in KH1 is Meh, however….

However, in KH2, Kairi turns real cute, so she joins the list…

3. Aerith(Aeris Gainesbourough)-

She was the pride and joy in Final Fantasy VII,only to see Sepheroth take it away. Fortunately, she has popped up in FF Tactics, FFVII:Advent Children and both Kingdom Hearts.

4. Shion Uzuki-

The first Shion was cute, but in the second one, she seemed a bit off. The third one, however, turned her to an Uberhottie, so she joins the list.

5. The Soul Caliber Girls- All are great in their own right, so I included them all(or most).

Note- Ivy is NOT in this list, as I do not like her…..>_>

Joppy’s Gaming Horde 3-RPG’s and the King

First off-

Sneak King- You go around sneaking up on people as “the Burger King”, giving people food. For $3.00, not too bad there. For those living overseas, The king is a guy in an oversized mask, that started out as a guy suprising a guy in bed, and then giving the guy……a sandwich.

Grade-B, for the Novelty alone.

Now the RPGs-

Xenosaga- Cute Robot Girls(KOS-MOS), Cute Megane girls(Shion), and cute loli Mahou Shoujo girls(MOMO, in a trailer I saw, at least) Makes this better…..The controls are slightly off Kilter, though, knocking  this down a notch.

Grade- B+

Xenosaga II- Getting rid of the Megane and the Mahou Shoujo? Sad. Making everyone a bit more real? Meh.  Using different VA’s as well? Double Meh.

Grade-B–

Xenosaga III- The character Design went back to a quasi-Anime, Quasi Realist Design. This worked best. The girls in three are Uber-cute. and they brought back the VA’s back. That alone makes it better than II.

Grade A-

Final Fantasy X- A Classic. Plain and Simple.  Rikku is still my favorite, hands down.

Grade A+

Final Fantasy X-2- A lot of mixed opinions on this. My opinion- Rikku, and Yuna, as Mahou Shoujo(Thanks, Job system;p). WIN.

Grade- A

Kingdom Hearts- Another Pure Classic. Even got my mom involved in this.

Grade A+

Kingdom Hearts II- The Best RPG in my Collection so far.  Two questions- Why is Jack Sparrow in this game, and two: How did Kairi get so cute?

Grade -A++

Dragon Quest VIII- Character Designs by Akira Toriyama. It makes for one great game. I need to play this more, as I need to get Jessica in my Party….;p

Grade-A-

Radiata Knights- I am still trying to figure this one out. However- Ridley is a classic Tsundere character, and the fights with her and Jack are pure classics….

Grade- B+

Star Ocean- Till the End of Time- The only game I really got into emotionally,Plus a Bang!Zoom! dub means pure quality. Plus-Sophia is cute. Beware-The Sophia/Aerith Clone is in here T_T.

Grade A+

Chomping down Kyo-Ani’s Throat?

I have noticed that everyone is pretty much writing off Lucky Star. I personally can’t wait to watch it, due to the Randomness of it all.  And,  give the series just a couple more episodes, as it may be a sleeper hit, just like Haruhi>_>.

BTW, Konata Izumi has now joined the growing list of “Joppy’s girls”.

Don’t give up, Anime Fans. KyoAni may have something in it’s sleeve….
