Lucky Star-Panic Mode Activated?

Kurogane, over at his blog, has mentioned that a director change is about to happen.

Kyoto Animation posted a notice on its website that says it decided to replace Yutaka Yamamoto as director of the Lucky Star moe comedy television series with Yasuhiro Takemoto due to performance issues. Yamamoto’s last episode, episode 4, has just aired on April 29, while episode 5 is still scheduled to run on May 6 with Takemoto directing.

The new director Takemoto helmed Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu and both Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid television and video projects. The man he replaces, Yamamoto, has been an episode director on a number of series including The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Air, and Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu (the last project under Takemoto), but Lucky Star was his first job as series director. Yamamoto’s last project before Lucky Star was the 2006 television version of Kanon. His website’s contents have been removed with only a short notice in their place.

Everyone seems to be panicking over this, as they feel it will go the Negima Route. Again I will have to say. PATIENCE. The director did Fumoffu. That is not bad at all. Let’s wait and see what happens>_>.

What is Makieism? part II

Makieism is the fandom of Makie Sasaki first and Foremost. But did you know there is a second reason for Makieism?

It is a fandom for both Voice actresses for Makie. One is a rather Famous one, one is a relatively new one.

First we have Yui Horie, the master herself. She played roles as Kotori from Da Capo, Tamami from Mahoraba, Ayu from Kanon, Naru from Negima, Eri from School Rumble, and the list goes on and on.

Kate Oxley is a relatively new VA that has done mostly bit characters, until her big break as Makie Sasaki. She is also Momo in Peach Girl. I also noticed that she will play a role in Beck.

So Makieism supports the two VAs in all roles that they do.

As everyone well knows, I am a Makie fan, first and foremost.

Today I recieved a Neo-Pactio Card. An Armor card that I was beaten by 2 pennies before.($30.02 US). Ironically, I got it for $30.00 US. If anybody has Suka cards I can buy, I would be greatly appreciative. Now, where do I find a Makie Plushie….?

AIR-Licensed?!?

From Anime on DVD:

ADV Films Licenses Air (04:01 PM EST): According to a new press release sent out today, ADV Films has acquired the AIR TV series with plans to release the first volume in August. They have also acquired the movie. The announcement was made at Anime Matsuri today and the first episode premiered at Kawaiicon.

And then There was another KyoAni series Licensed. Two remain-Lucky Star and Kanon.

Anime to watch:

Moon Phase 5- Kohei turns into a good guy…..however he learns something that might tear him and Hazuki apart……Considering that We got one more disc left, they’ll get back together…….;p

Peach Girl- Why shoujo anime? Two reasons- Sae(Uber-witch) that is fun to watch her rile everyone up, and Momo is voiced in the English dub by Kate Oxley. (Her second major role after playing Makie in Negima.) That alone is enough for purchase….

Cutie Honey Movie- Uber Camp.  Hideaki Anno. Eriko Sato. Nuff said.

ZOMG! It’s Pokemon……

I, sir, am one of the people you are trying to cater to. You fail at that aspect. I’d rather buy a 4kids anime on dvd than go after your one ep. high priced monstrosities. I’ll even import the R2s, if needed, to prove a point. BVUSA will NOT be getting any of my money.
